This is the antiquated way to fix a roof, but if you get annual roof maintenance there is a slim likelihood of getting any water damage inside of your home.
Water damage is covered under your homeowners insurance most of the time. The downside is if you have too many insurance claims on your homeowners insurance there is a good chance that they will cancel you at the end of renewal. So be cautious when submitting a claim to your insurance agent so that it is worth your time and money.
